VMware Consultant - NSX - Network - Firewall
My client, a Financial Services company, is looking for a VMware Consultant - NSX - Network - Firewall - to join their technical team. The VMware Consultant - NSX - Network - Firewall - will be helping to design, install and configure VMware NSX as part of a Software Designed Data Centre.
Includes the following skills:
- Understand the role NSX plays in a SDDC supporting an integrated VMware/OpenStack/Puppet stack
- Gather requirements, constraints, assumption and consider risks to provide a NSX design consistent with the desired target environment
- Specify design of VMware installation and configuration to allow integration with NSX
- Design and configuration of NSX within a Disaster Recovery solution across multiple Datacentres
- Design and configuration of NSX logical services, components and associated policies including network, security, routing, Firewall etc.
- Installation and configuration of NSX Manager including deployment of VIBs on ESX hosts and vCentre registration
- Installation and configuration of NSX Controller
- Definition of use case for automated provision
- End-to-end testing of NSX components and automated provisioning processes
- Identification of management and monitoring requirements
- Provide Knowledge Transfer to Service Management personnel and provide Standard Operating Procedures
