Openstack VMware VIO Consultant
My client, a Financial Services company, is looking for a Openstack VMware VIO Consultant to join their technical team. The Openstack VMware VIO Consultant will be helping to design, install and configure VMware NSX as part of a Software Designed Data Centre.
Includes the following skills:
- Understand the role VIO plays within a SDDC supporting an integrated VMware/OpenStack/Puppet stack
- Gather requirements, constraints, assumption and consider risk to provide a VIO design consistent with the desired target environment
- Specify design of VMware Integrated OpenStack installation and configuration to allow integration with OpenStack
- Design and configuration of VIO within a Disaster Recovery solution across multiple DatacentresTest
- Test VIO interoperability with OpenStack/Puppet
Design, configuration and test of the following OpenStack components:
- Nova (Compute)
- Keystone (Identity) - to ensure authentication to end users with full audit trail
- Neutron (Network)
- Glance (Image) - to provide a repository for images and an interface for querying new images
- Horizon (Dashboard) - to provide users and administrators with current and historical resource usage metrics and reports
- Heat (Orchestration)
