System Support Specialist OAT (Windows)
For one of my globally leading tech clients, I am urgently looking for System Support Specialist OAT (Windows) for a 12 month initial contract in Prague Czech Republic.
The successful System Support Specialist OAT (Windows) will have the following skills & experience:
- Proficient strong knowledge of server administration skills (Windows 2003, 2008, 2012)
- Proficient in Active Directory domains content support
- Fluent knowledge of English
- Knowledge of Excellent communicator, customer-oriented and a willing and active contributor to team work
- Minimum 3 years IT experience
- Minimum 1 years in similar role

SUMMARY:
The System Support Specialist is responsible for the resolution of issues with both the regional and global infrastructure server environment setup hosted within IT Services.
- Responds to and resolves issues with both the regional and global infrastructure server environment setup hosted within the ITS - 2nd level of Windows server support.
- Demonstrates a systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving. Has acquired an appreciation of the wider field of ITS outside his/her own specialization and has developed a good broad understanding of computer system architecture. Within a limited time horizon, is able to plan, schedule and monitor own work competently.
- Consults as required on a project by project on server specification and capacity adhering to Global standards. Provides advice to users on systems, products and services, which are available to them.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administration of Windows 2003, 2008, 2012 Servers on 2nd level.
- On a day-to-day basis resolve incidents concerning OS/HW.
- Managing of File and Print Servers, participate on File/Folder and Print migration Projects.
- Managing Security on Servers based on our clients Security policy
- Basic SQL DB support.
- Managing of Group Policy, Login scripts, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS
- Troubleshoot server hardware
- Continuous improvement of existing RUN service.
- Oversees the administration of all applications on Windows based Servers by using appropriate monitoring tools.
- Ensures continuous support is provided regarding operating system, software and hardware issues by answering questions and/or resolving problems.
- Frequent contact and collaboration with IT support colleagues globally (EMEA, APIS, AMIS)
- Documenting of activities and processes in own area for purposes of Knowledge Capture
