Solution Designer Application Consultant
Solution designer required for a great 10 month contract opportunity to integrate the IT CoE Retail and Marketing team in Brussels, Belgium. We a looking for a consultant that can be available from ASAP until the end of the year.
The Solution Designer will be required for the following;
Develop and document detailed software architecture for retail and marketing solutions
Collaborate with business analysts to translate product requirements to system level architecture and high-level designs that can be re-used across multiple applications and solutions (with a focus on the solutions integration within our various landscapes)
Contribute the process of researching, identifying and evaluating appropriate technologies (platforms, components, hardware, services) required for meeting company product development goals
Work individually and with other designers/architects to ensure that breadth and granularity of strategies, standards and reference architectures are consistent and well integrate
Implement and facilitate an agile methodology aimed to insure that re-usable patterns, components and methodologies are implemented and adopted
Ensure the quality delivery of enterprise solutions, defining the technical architecture vision and design principles, overseeing the implementation, configuration and testing of the architecture
Tasks:
Development of proposals for implementation and design of retail and marketing solutions which are: Multi-Format, Multi-Channel, Multi-Country, and Multi-Business Model
End-to-end architecture design including the validation with the security and data privacy teams
Provide technical leadership, project guidance, and business development in support to the business analysts
Advise business and technology delivery leadership on how to translate the business requirements into technology solutions
Participation in customer's workshops and provide presentations of the proposed solution;
Data analysis and data modelling
Acts as a technical liaison between clients, service engineering teams and support;
Review and audit of existing solution, design and system architecture
Perform profiling, troubleshooting of existing solutions
Create technical documentation.
Experience
Mandatory prior experience of minimum 5 years in a related work experience, in a complex (distributed) environment
Mandatory Prior Experience of minimum 3 years with Retail and Marketing solutions covering one or more of following topics;
- Customer facing in-store systems: POS, self-scanning, self-checkout
- Loyalty solutions
- Customer data management solutions
- Advanced customer analytics: recommendation engines, customer insights, segmentation
- Big Data solutions
- major ERP and CRM systems and how they are used in an Omni-Channel approach
- Ranging from customer care to campaign management
Effective in delivering presentations and running meetings and/or workshops
Experience with security and data privacy compliance
Technical knowledge
Strong knowledge of data storage and processing technologies (relational DBMS, no SQL, Hadoop )
Knowledge of software development frameworks (.net and Java)
3+ years in position of Solution Designer (incl. solution design and Datamodelling)
