Description

Our client, a global investment bank is looking to hire 3 Service Now Developers to work in the Global Technology Engineering division in the bank. The team is responsible for the architecture, design and development of tools used for Event, Capacity, Configuration Management, Workflow as well as Reporting and Visualisation.

The team is responsible for the Service Now platform which is used by over 50,000 users globally for Incident, Problem and Knowledge management. Current projects include the migration of the global change management process and service request management onto this platform.

Activities

The role will involve the following

  • Architect, engineer, configure and support Service Now to automate internal ITIL processes.
  • Automate and simplify ITIL processes.
  • Participation in requirement review meetings.
  • Perform impact analysis of changes to components.
  • Perform estimations for functional stories as well as service requests.
  • Participate in testing efforts (Unit, System, Performance).
  • Perform Level 3 support activities (troubleshooting, root cause analysis, investigation and resolution of incidents and support requests).
  • Writing technical documentation, including design documentation, training materials, and white papers.
  • Liaising with other architects, developers and infrastructure managers to ensure the platform meets all functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Ensuring quality IT delivery through the application of standards and technology design principles.
  • Identifying and assessing risks, determining impact to platform and mitigation plans.

Skills

  • Service Now development (3 years +)
  • Service Now System Administration
  • Understanding of ITIL
  • Experience with Oracle and SQL
  • Excellent communications skills in each of the following areas:
    • Working with users in joint analysis and design sessions.
    • Written communications, both technical and non-technical.
    • Ability to communicate technical concepts to end-users.
    • Ability to quickly build relationships across multiple teams
    • High analytical capabilities
    • Attention to detail
    • Ability to grasp new contexts
    • Used to working to tight deadlines and identifying problems at an early stage
    • Flexibility and willingness to work autonomously
    • Self motivated
    • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
    • Experience with Pentaho ETL
    • Experience with Javascript
