Site Engineer (2G, 3G, 4G, RAN, Transmission) - Zaventum, Belgium
6 Month initial contract
Currently recruiting for a first line troubleshooting and fault fixing Field maintenance engineer for the mobile network. This position will involve 24/7 standby support
As Site Engineer you will be responsible for:
- Re-active support for RAN, TX, TELLABS, Power, Aircon
- Pro-active support for preventative maintenance on network
- Integrate, commission and accept new sites and network elements
- Inspect work carried out by subcontractors
- Perform walk tests and analyse the results
- Perform RF measurements
- troubleshooting on fibre optic
- Rigging (climbing) pylons and buildings
Requirements:
- 2G, 3G, 4G knowledge, preferably on ZTE and Ericsson kit
- RAN Indoor and outdoor telecoms systems, power, aircon, alarm detection, antenna systems etc.
- Knowledge of XML scripts
- Understanding of both RF and Transmission network
- Experience of working with power/electrical (low and high voltage incl. DC) BA4 or BA5 certification
- Basic knowledge of generators (connect and disconnect to EMS)
- Basic knowledge of aircon and free-cooling systems on BTS sites (indoor and outdoor)
- Able to perform corrective works on-site
- Must hold valid climbing certificate plus relevant first aid at heights certificate
Language: English is essential, French/Dutch an advantage
