Directory Services Engineer - AD/eDirectory Migration/LDAP/Poland/Remote Working
PTS has an opportunity for a number of Active Directory and eDirectory specialists to assist on a large scale directory migration. The client is a global insurance company with a strong presence in Europe. You will be able to work remotely from the UK or other European countries ideally Poland (Krakow)
Principal Accountabilities
. Domain activities from development through to production. Adding credentials, approving requests, working with developers to configure applications.
. Second level work such as Group Policy, Importing large numbers of user credentials, debugging and migration developer support.
. Scripting, coordination, governance and standards.
. Support Novell eDirectory LDAP solution
. Support large migrations to new LDAP instance
. Assist & support migration events.(Weekend Work)
. Assist in upgrading LDAP solution to new version.
Knowledge/Experience/Skills
a) Knowledge
The Active Directory engineer will need a strong level of knowledge around windows Active Directory with a specific emphasis on authentication and authorisation.
Strong powershell Scripting abilities
b) Experience
The Active Directory engineer will need experience working on large scale programmes with tight deliver timelines. The will need to work with application migration team to migrate security principles into the new LDAP solutions and decommission the old deployment.
c) Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong Excel/data manipulation skills
Strong network debugging experience. (Interpreting packet captures)
Strong LDAP skills
