Description
RF Engineer - GSM/GPRS, CDMA/1xRTT, UMTS, EVDO or HSPA or LTE
Radio Frequency Engineering Expert required by my client a global software and services organization based in Chile. This is an initial 6 - 12 month contract with view to extend. The successful Candidate will be based locally and a fluent Spanish speaker.
Provides consultation on RF engineering matters by applying in depth knowledge of principles, practices and procedures.
Responsibilities
*You will provide RF network design, planning and optimization activities.
*You will provide link budget analysis, design criteria and traffic analysis.
*You will ensure data integrity of various morphology/topography databases and drive test data for model calibration.
*You will provide network optimization analysis and recommendations using a combination of drive data and network statistics.
*You will provide network tuning using parameter optimization.
*You will be responsible for technical knowledge transfer to client/customer, as required.
*Your will perform frequency and PSC planning and/or PN planning as well as co-channel and adjacent channel interference testing and analysis.
*You will undertake NW performance improvement (KPIs) and optimization tasks and BSS parameter modifications.
Key Skills
*M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent and one year of relevant experience; or
*B.Sc. in CS, MIS, Engineering or equivalent and four years of relevant experience.
*Experience in RF wireless design engineering for a telecommunications system
*Must have experience in mobile radio propagation aspects through work on at least one of the following technologies - GSM/GPRS, CDMA/1xRTT, UMTS, EVDO or HSPA or LTE
*Must have working experience on at least one of the following equipment manufacturers: Ericsson, Nortel, Nokia, Siemens, Motorola, Alcatel Lucent or Huawei
*Must have recent UMTS optimization
*Must have team lead experience
*Must have process automation experience: SQL experience and creating macro skills
*Must have 10+ year RF engineering experience
