amazee.io provides Drupal hosting Platform as a Service for clients worldwide. We excel in providing outstanding support, a local development environment based on Docker that is congruent to our production servers and the possibility to host on any server in any datacenter in the world.

amazee.io is looking for a System engineer to join our tech team. You will be essential to ensure stability and growth of our high-performance hosting environment. We are a lean, open, international and fully remote environment.

Our hosting environment is based on Puppet, Ansible and Docker, operates in multiple locations all over the world, and currently serves over 150 million hits per month. We are constantly updating and improving the platform and need bright minds who are interested in helping us scale to build the world's best and fastest Drupal hosting environment to join our team.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure stability of our hosting environment
- Specify, implement, document, and rollout features/updates
- Provide outstanding support to our clients in Slack and E-Mail
- Manage site go-live procedures
- Available for frequent off hours, “on call” duty

Requirements:
- Working during office hours in UTC up to UTC+3 (if you live in this timezone or just like to work during these hours does not matter)
- 3 years+ of SysEngineer/SysAdmin experience
- Working knowledge of Linux, Nginx, Varnish, MariaDB/MySQL
- Communicates effectively via cat gifs and emojis
- Experience with Docker, Puppet, Ansible
- Experience with CI Systems like Jenkins
- Experience with high availability and clustered servers
- Basic knowledge of Mac OS X, Windows
- You’ve heard of Drupal and PHP and it doesn’t scare you
- Talking to clients and doing demos to unknown people doesn’t scare you
- You can work independently as well as part of a team
- You are experienced with or are familiar using agile project methodologies
- Ability to analyze problems and keep calm and focused when outages occur
- You are comfortable reading, writing, and communicating in English

Bonus Points
- Experience with server security and system hardening
- Experience with OpenShift & Kubernetes or another Docker Orchestration System
- Experience with Node.js
- Experience with performance optimization and load testing
