An excellent opportunity has arisen with my client who are an award winning Software Solution provider. We are looking for an experienced IT Systems Engineer who is extremely client facing and enjoys taking ownership of mini projects within the larger team to predominantly work from their Surrey based offices, with occasional travel to customers based globally, for an initial 12 month contract.
Our ideal candidate will need to have at least 6-8 years experience within a similar role along with the following:
4+ years Linux Support
4+ years MAC Support
3+ years Windows Support
Experience as a technical lead providing global support via the Helpdesk as well as face to face
Manage small projects (Office moves, Infrastructure design, Software Updates/Upgrades)
Manage the Helpdesk SLA's ensuring that tickets are dealt with in a timely fashion and escalated where necessary
Analyse, research and resolve complex technical issues and Linux, MAC and Windows OS and hardware whilst ensuring that process and procedures documentation is updated accordingly
Develop tools to improve helpdesk efficiency and productivity
Articulate with the ability to converse with users of all levels
Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
Good knowledge of Networking fundamentals and Protocols
Any previous Project Management experience will be highly regarded, however we are looking for a Systems engineer with PM experience opposed to a PM with some systems experience.
