Infrastructure Engineer - Citrix migration engineer
Infrastructure Engineer - Citrix migration engineer is needed for a long-term project in the wonderful Czech, Republic.
Citrix Platform is a standard service component provided by ITS to other divisions. It enables the remote access to centrally running Windows desktops and software. It is present in 3 regions and is currently based on Windows Server 2008R2 and Citrix XenApp 6.5.
Project will cater for the design, build, testing, implementation of Windows Server 2016-ready Citrix Platform and migration into this platform from current one (Citrix XenApp 6.5 and Windows Server 2008R2. It will also assure the application readiness and upgrade the business services hosted on the current platform.
Responsibilities
- Analysis of existing services placed in existing Windows 2008R2-based environment.
- Planning deployment into test, basic testing
- Maintain own DSF (framework used to deploy applications on Citrix Platform) wrapping environment.
- Wrapping into DSF. (application package intake into DSF for deployment)
- TAT + UAT support.
- Active planning and execution of migration with customers.
- Follow up of ITS process.
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong in software packaging, application virtualization (AppV 5.x), Windows Server 2008R2 or higher, Windows software reverse engineering, debugging tools, server-based computing, DSF.
- Familiar with ITIL, Windows 2016, Citrix XenApp (7.11 or higher), VMware vSphere, agile approach, continuous improvement.
- 5+ years of software virtualization experience with automating of framework-based software deployment and packaging.
- 5+ years of experience with automating of framework-based software deployment and packaging.
- Scripting knowledge (Powershell)
- High school/University degree oriented to computer/technical area is preferred
- Ability to build and maintain partnerships
- Fluent English language
