Proteus Europe is searching for a Project Manager who has experience with developing Embedded software systems for one of our clients in Belgium.

Our Client is a service provider based in Belgium. They work in the Embedded software side of service and as such have a reputation for consistently delivering reliable services. Thousands of people across Europe depend upon their products every single day.
Your New role:-
- Lead development projects. A typical development project is the release of a new Internet access gateway, or of a new software release for existing gateways. A wide range of specialists are involved in the development process: system experts, software (Agile teams), hardware, system integration test, industrialization, etc.
- Define the overall development plan with the teams.
- Act as the overall R and D leader for the project. Identify, plan and track all project related activities. Anticipate and mitigate bottlenecks.
- Communicate with the business teams. Represent the business view within R and D. Represent the R and D view towards business.
- Manage key project parameters such as content, time, budget and quality.
- Maintain a good relation with stakeholders. Communicate project status.
- Parts of projects can be outsourced, in this case the project manager will manage both developments (in-house/outsourced).

Your Skills and experience:-
Essential Skills:-
- 7+ years experience as a technical lead or technical project management
- Track record on delivering projects working with larger teams (10+)
- Experience in hardware/software design and development of Embedded systems is a strong plus. (Wireless/xDSL/LTE/GPON or STB products).
- Experience of full product life cycle management. From concept, introduction plan, development and test to customer introduction and maintenance is a strong plus.
Desirable Skills:-
- Knowledge on and experience as project management (PMP, Prince 2, Agile SW development certificates or by experience)
- Knowledge of Embedded systems
- Knowledge of hardware design
- Knowledge of software development and testing.
- Knowledge of agile development processes
