Your New role :-
Job Mission
- Advise projects on the infrastructure solution that best fits the projects needs and is aligned with the IT infrastructure standards.
- Realize the delivery of approved SEI infrastructure projects/changes on time, according to agreed scope and within agreed timeframe.
- Steer the SEI and IT infrastructure engineers, potentially involved third parties and align on regular bases with all stakeholders of the related project (i.e. architecture, security, internal customers,).
Job Description
- Act as an infrastructure consultant for project requests that are in pre-demand/design phase.
- Make them aware about the SEI and IT-infrastructure standards and help them to make use of those standards.
- Work in close cooperation with the projects, the infra architects to provide the information related to the needed infrastructure (including low level design, associated costs and effort) to fit in the overall design.
- Manage the execution of the infra changes; assign tasks, set priorities for the changes (together with the involved stakeholders), manage risks, solve problems and ensure the realization of the changes conform scope, time and budget.
- Plan the infra activities from both demand as well the supply side (available resources) within SEI and/or the various IT departments (including 3rd Parties).
- Provide management summary of overall plan, any capacity exceptions, pending actions, follow-up activities and final resolutions.
- Ensure the integration of the projects/changes into the specific SEI and/or IT processes, including policies, procedures, instructions, documentation and training in order to secure smooth handover to support.
- Communicate and align with the various IT departments (including 3rd Parties) about the changes/projects in order to set the right expectations, agree on down-time slots, etc.

Experience
- Broad knowledge of IT components and solutions as for instance Networking (Cisco), Linux (RedHat), Unix (Solaris), Microsoft, VMware, NetApp storage, Citrix, databases, identity management systems (Novell), Middleware (Tibco), SAP infrastructures, CAD tooling, and others.
- At least 2 years of experience in managing IT projects on world-wide generic IT
Infrastructures and various application platforms, involving employees and managers at all levels of the organization as well as outside vendors and service providers.
- Proven experience of organizational skills in a working environment

Education
Academic level or equivalent combination of education and experience.
