An exciting, long-term opportunity is available at DG Climate Action in Brussels for a IS Security Consultant.
Working under our contract with DG CLIMA you will join our team helping to fight climate change at EU and international level.
Tasks will include:
- Monitoring and participating in the implementation of security requirements at the level of the applications;
- Taking part in the definition, deployment, operation and the maintenance of other subsystems;
- Taking part in the definition and review of the monitoring scenarios;
- Maintaining the documentation related to the tasks.
We are searching for a candidate with the following profile:
- Minimum of 21 years of higher studies and professional experience;
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in IT and 2 years of experience in IT consulting;
- Proven experience with quality procedures;
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the realization of studies in the domain of information security;
- Proficiency in spoken and written English (technical writing);
- Ability to obtain EU Security clearance.
Minimum 5 years of experience with following:
- Software development process (Software Development Life Cycle), based on established methodology like RUP;
- In-depth knowledge of information security acquired through the development of security functionalities or software eg Common criteria, PCI-DSS, OWASP, OpenSamm;
- Experience with Unix, Oracle Database Management Systems (eg SQL* or SQL Developer, Weblogic or other Java EE compliant application Servers);
- Experience with Public Key Infrastructure - X509 certificates and SSL/TLS communication layer implementation;
- CSSLP certification would be an asset.
The successful candidate should be able to start ASAP. This position is offered as a long term freelance contract.
