Operations Support EngineerWe are currently recruiting for our client, world’s leading provider of software and services to the automobile insurance claims processing industry, for an Operations Support Engineer to join their office in Madrid.

Responsibilities:
- Part of the team that develops global solutions and is part of an ambitious new program to redesign the internal architecture
- Provide tier 2 analysis and customer support in all support areas
- Responsible for thoroughly documenting all service requests, incidents, problems and each customer contact in designated tools
- Supervise and ensure effective upgrade of all software and processes
- Identifies operational problems by observing and studying system functioning and performance results; investigating complaints and suggestions; interviewing process supervisors and operators; completing troubleshooting procedures.
- In collaboration with the Global IT organization, monitor database performance, recommend and implement efficiency improvements
Qualifications:
- 5 + years of hands on experience in operations, and with troubleshooting complex issues
- Ability to explain complex technical issues in a way that nontechnical people may understand
- Experience with Java and AS400 application environments
- Experience with using SQL Tools to query and analyze the data, and ability to write complex queries
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
- Fluent English on business level (written and spoken)
