Our direct Fortune 500 client is looking for a Splunk Developer with a focus on Application Support in their production Splunk environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in a medium to large IT environment designing and implementing Splunk-based solutions. Experience with Splunk architecture including configuration files, writing Splunk queries, previous projects maintaining Splunk components, etc. are highly desired. Minimum 2-5 years of experience designing and implementing Splunk-based solutions.
Understanding of Splunk architecture, including configuration files.
Experience maintaining Splunk components (indexer, forwarder, search head).
Experience onboarding new data sources and setting up alerts (formatting, standardization, etc).
Experience writing Splunk queries to create complex Splunk dashboards using XML.
Previous experience implementing Splunk Best Practices (apps, add-ons, searches, etc).
Ability to write regex to perform field extractions at search time.
Knowledge of app creation, user and role access permissions.
Understanding of Application and Infrastructure Performance Management
Internet Information Services (HTTP, SSL)
Previous experience with large software implementations in a Windows environment.
Strong technical troubleshooting, diagnosing and problem solving skills
Analyzes data from various sources to determine next steps

In-depth knowledge of vendor software integration and interaction patterns
Experience with multi-platform applications (Mainframe and distributed)
