Reconciliation Analyst

Bank of America Merrill Lynch is looking for an Operations Analyst to work within the Global Foreign Exchange Operation based in Chester.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to be part of the continued growth of our business.

Required to support both internal and external GFX clients, focusing on flawless delivery of day to day operations supporting a Global Institutional and Corporate client base. Associates are responsible for taking ownership to confirm and settle FX trades, with investigation of post-settlement discrepancies.

The role involves engagement and interaction with both Internal and External stakeholders, namely; Clients, Trade Support, Front Office, and Credit.

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities

As an Operations Analyst within the Global Foreign Exchange Operation, your main responsibilities will include ownership and accountability for the following processes;

  • Responsible for investigating breaks across all correspondent accounts owned by Foreign Exchange
  • Daily liaison with the business, external clients and the trading desks with investigative queries
  • Responsible for carrying out Management reporting
  • Daily interaction with internal/external clients
  • Liaison and escalation of issues to Management
  • Work as part of a global team supporting both internal and external clients, developing and implementing procedures and controls to reduce risk
  • Production of Risk Indicators and other management information

  • Client Service focus and experience desirable
  • Strong understanding of Risk mitigation and identification
  • Proactive, enthusiastic and flexible
  • Experience of working in an Operations department and a regulated environment with FX experience is desirable.
