Description

A global Renewable Energy client is looking for a Consultant to work as an Electrical Interface Coordinator (Senior Staff). We are looking for the Electrical Interface Coordinator to be able to start this freelance approximately 24 month contract from 1st May 2017 up until 30th April 2019. Hours of work will be 8 hrs a day, 5 days a week.
Job Description:
  • The Electrical Interface Coordinator will be responsible for the project specific design and structure of the clients interface tool, SIMS/PIA, across the electrical package, including the process and setup of interface agreements.
  • To escalate to Electrical Project Manager in case of technical interface misalignment when required, processes related to interface coordination. Support in aligning technical interfaces agreements.
  • To assist interface owners and Electrical Project Manager in the use of SIMS/PIA.
  • To facilitate and engage with the Electrical Project Manager to ensure that all interfaces are aligned, planned and closed with appropriate quality.
  • To provide structured overview of all technical interfaces in electrical package and to other packages.
  • To develop a project interface Matrix in the origination including role responsibilities.
  • To facilitate the resolution of cross scope interface alignment challenges.
  • Ensure that critical technical interfaces improperly aligned are flagged and visible throughout the project.
  • Facilitate that Generic Interfaces are identified and up to date.
  • Facilitate that Generic Interfaces are used or considered in project at startup.
  • Proactively ensuring the implementation of Lesson Learnt with regard to interface handling.
  • To perform interface management in Electrical systems as well as all related engineering, installation and commissioning and transfer activities.
Qualifications of Candidates:
  • Masters degree in electrical engineering and wind.
  • Minimum 8 years. experience of working within wind or construction.
  • Must be a highly experienced interface coordinator.
  • Have extensive Project Interface work experience supporting HV electrical system team within large infrastructure projects.
  • High level of knowledge in the interface management of electrical systems and MV/HV component design, manufacturing, installation and commissioning and transfer process to OFTO.
  • Have an excellent understanding in interface structure, particularly in offshore wind projects.
Special Provisions:
The Consultants will be required to bring his/her own PC with MS Office 2007 software or newer and i-Phone mobile telephone.

The Consultants must have his/her own PPE equipment (Personal Protection Equipment).
