Our global Renewable Energy client is looking for a Consultant to work as an Electrical Interface Coordinator (Senior Staff) for their offshore wind farm project. This is a 24 month freelance role to start 1st May 2017 up until approx. 30th April 2019. Hours of work will normally be 5 days a week, 8hrs a day in average.Job description:
- Responsible for the project specific design and structure of interface tool, SIMS/PIA, across the electrical package, including the process and setup of interface agreements.
- To escalate to the Electrical Project Manager in the event of any technical interface misalignment when necessary and to process related to interface coordination.
- To support interface owner in aligning technical interfaces agreements.
- To assist interface owners and Electrical Project Managers in the use of SIMS/PIA.
- To facilitate and engage with Electrical Project Manager to ensure that all interfaces are aligned, planned and closed with appropriate quality.
- Provide structured overview of all technical interfaces in electrical package and other packages.
- To develop a project interface Matrix in the organisation, including role responsibilities.
- Facilitate the resolution of cross scope interface alignment challenges.
- To ensure that all critical technical interfaces improperly aligned are flagged and visible throughout the project.
- Ensure the implementation of 'Lessons Learnt' with regards to interface handling.
- Perform interface management in Electrical systems as well as all related engineering, installation and commissioning and transfer activities.
- Master degree in Electrical Engineering and Wind.
- Minimum 8 years. relevant work experience within wind and/or construction.
- Experienced Interface Coordinator and have experience of working on interface systems.
- Have extensive Project Interface work experience supporting HV electrical system team, within large infrastructure projects.
- Extensive knowledge in the interface management of electrical system and MV/HV component design, manufacturing, installation and commissioning and transfer to OFTO.
- Good understanding of interface structure, particularly in offshore wind projects.
- The Consultants will be required to bring his/her own PC with MS Office 2007 software or newer and i-Phone mobile (4S, 5C, 5S, 6 or 6+ or Windows phone 8.1) telephone.
- The Consultants must have his/her own PPE equipment (Personal Protection Equipment)
