File Transfer/SFG/Sterling File Gateway Technical Infrastructure Developer/Infrastructure Developer

ECS is hiring!

ECS is looking to recruit a Technical Infrastructure Developer/Infrastructure Developer/File Transfer/SFG/Sterling File Gateway specialist, to work within a team for a blue chip, financial services sector client.

The team is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance and administration of Sterling File Gateway/SFG

Responsibilities:

  • Provide file transfer knowledge for supported applications across supported platforms.
  • Install, develop and maintain file transfer software
  • Work with platform specialists to ensure that platform standards are adhered to, and to ensure resilience.
  • Provide technical advice and support in the creation of solution documents.
  • Planning, implementation and documentation in support of project delivery, service improvement and ongoing support of the platform.
  • Identify and implement improvements to technical processes and toolsets.
  • Identify and remediate risks associated with the environment.
  • Ongoing technical support and analysis (including incident and problem resolution) for the Production and/or Development environments and deal effectively with technical problems when they occur.
  • Technical support as part of a production service support rota, as required.

Skills and Experience:

  • SFG file transfer tool and Secure+.
  • Experience with other file transfer Mainframe tools, FTP and XCOM.
  • Working knowledge of TSO/ISPF, JCL, IBM Utilities.
  • Service Delivery orientated background with previous experience of production/live implementations and the industry governance around this.
  • Service Management toolset and general principals associated with Incident, Problem and Change.
  • Financial Services
