Job Description:

The Solution Architect is responsible for the overall planning, implementation, management, governance and execution of all company data integrations. This leader understands business and technology, and is fluent in business capabilities to address user needs. Based on these user needs, this individual will define an integration architecture and roadmap to integrate enterprise applications successfully, in repeatable patterns, to enable expected business outcomes. The ideal candidate must have MS Dynamics 365/AX and integration experience. We need someone who has enough technical knowledge but also understands the business side (balance of functional and technical).

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with IT and Business Stakeholders to understand current state of system integrations, desired state, and gaps. Shape vision for Enterprise Architecture Strategic Plan to support current and future business needs.
  • Develop strategic roadmap to implement repeatable, resilient and supportable data integrations.
  • Drive Innovation: Think outside the box, embrace new ideas and generate new or unique solutions that help enable our productivity, profitability and growth (encompassing everything from continuous improvement to supply chain and sales delivery optimization).
  • Design integration architecture including specifications, audit controls, monitoring, exception and error handling, security, retention, procedural or recovery logic.
  • Hands on: Develop and maintain logical data model based to meet business requirements (eg, Data Flow Diagram, Entity Relationship Models, Data Conceptual Models, and Data Element Mapping).
  • Lead integration work stream of project teams to implement solution design which supports and enables the company's integrated enterprise architecture.
  • Provide recommendations for reallocation of resources, prioritization, and sequencing of activities and approach as necessary to meet goals.
  • Develop, maintain and provide technical expertise to transfer knowledge of integration technology components to development and support teams.
  • Deliver results, creating value for our stakeholders, customers and shareholders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field
  • 3+ years solution architecture experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Operations (fka AX7)
  • 3+ years of ESB, ETL, business intelligence, data architecture, database development, Azure IoT Suite, or analytics experience.
  • Deep understanding of data management best practices, including data modelling, data element mapping, data management, reference data management, etc.
  • Integration Modeling: Knowledge of integration modelling patterns and the ability to decompose integration scenarios into data flow diagrams and functional/technical specifications, taking into account software and system capabilities while promoting reuse, services based integrations, maintainability and efficiency.
  • IT Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the key directional trends and emerging technologies, particularly around Big Data, Data Discovery, and Cloud.
  • Hands on experience with aspects of analytics solution delivery including data sourcing, architecture, and data modelling of warehouses/marts/repositories, data integration/transformation, APIs, cubes, and cloud reporting and analytics.
  • Experience with one or more Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) or SaaS cloud-based data integration tools (Mulesoft, Tibco, Informatica, Data Factory) is required.
  • Experience sourcing data from various relational database platforms (SQL, Oracle, MySQL, etc.) and from flat files (JSON, CSV, etc.).
  • Experience with enterprise applications (eg, CRM), application development platforms, software development, and SQL query experience.
