Connectivity Test Execution Engineer, 12 Month Contract, Dublin West, 250 to 300 per day

Our client is one of Ireland's largest digital companies, with 27 million customers across 14 countries. They are looking for a candidate for an initial 12 month contract, with a good possibility of becoming permenant thereafter.

Your responsibilities will include;

  • Testing, maintenance and support of the broadband
  • Connectivity test, support, and assistance in the rollout of new and Legacy hardware and software products.

The successful candidate will have the following skills:

  • Understanding of Access Network technologies, including HFC, DOCSIS, FTTH, Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi roaming.
  • In-depth understanding of Home networking, communication and management technologies (802.11, Ethernet, Powerline, CWMP-TR-069 etc.) and products.
  • Effective use of end to end connectivity service testing methodologies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of automation test systems and configuration.
  • Scripting ability in BASH, PERL, Python desirable.
  • TCP/IP knowledge, including IPv6, in the context of the Access Network and in-home networks is required. Knowledge of routing protocols is also desirable.
  • Experience of troubleshooting complex networks or systems.
  • Knowledge of RADIUS and DHCP and other subscriber management systems as used by Telco's.
  • Have experience in the end-to-end provisioning flows for all services delivered by CPE equipment (residential and B2B).
  • Have OSS provisioning experience.
