Description

A global Renewable Energy client is looking for a Consultant to work as a GIS Specialist to work on their wind farm project. The GIS Specialist must have extensive experience with ArcGIS Desktop, Spatial analysis, 3D GIS, SDE database and ArcGIS Online apps. The GIS Specialist ideally will have worked on offshore wind farm projects. We are looking for the GIS Specialist to be able to start this role from 1st April 2017 up until approx. 31st August 2018 with the possibility of extending further thereafter. The hours of work will be 8hrs a day, 5 days per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Secure, analyse and distribute all relevant geographical data.
  • Update and analyse environmental, archaeological, UXO and other man-made constraints for planning, lay-out, survey, and installation.
  • To provide expertise knowledge on coordinate systems and other geographical standards.
  • Implement and ensure quality and reliability on data based standards.
  • To ensure that documents describing GIS standards are implemented for ITT and contracts.
  • Secure agreements with installation managers prior to installation.
  • Ensure integration with DPR and overview of DPR available in WindGIS.
  • Ensure O&M standards are As Built data are met.
  • Secure QA-process with O&M prior to construction end.
  • Create charts and presentations.
  • Maintain an up to date geographical information database.

Qualifications of Candidates:

  • MSc or other relevant Master degree in GIS.

Special Provisions:

  • The Consultants will be required to bring his/her own PC with MS Office 2007 software or newer and mobile telephone.
  • The Consultants must have his/her own PPE equipment (Personal Protection Equipment).
