SC Cleared Dev Ops Engineer/Environment Administrator (Inside IR35)
Our leading client is in need of an Dev Ops Engineer/Environment Administrator to help develop this clients core data platform as it is a fundamental componenet of relising this clients vision - the platform they use is the Cloudera Hadoop technology stack including HDFS, Spark, HBase, Hive etc. for data storage and processing.
The purpose of this job is to ensure that cloud and on-premise CDP system deployments, and associated infrastructure and environments (including development, test and production environments), conform to quality assurance, security, architectural and system-specific requirements, and meet agreed measures for availability and performance. This will include delivering continuous improvement to these environments as the CDP evolves.
Skills:
- Proficiency in use and administration of the Linux Operating System.
- Proficiency in the use of Ansible as an infrastructure automation tool.
- Familiarity with administration of cloud Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) self-service environments.
- Experience of administering a Hadoop cluster, ideally Cloudera.
- Experience of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery within an Agile development team.
- Experience of administering network security including configuring Firewalls, Kerberos and LDAP.
