Electrical Test Technician

Stevenage/London

6 Month Contract

A highly motivated and experienced competent electrical test technician for a role as part of a highly skilled team of electrical test engineers performing electrical test configuration preparation, integration, and execution of subsystem and system tests within an automated test environment on bespoke non-flight and flight spacecraft.

Role and Responsibilities

Electrical integration and testing of electronic units and subsystems associated with spacecraft platforms and payloads, eg Power, Data Handling, Software, Communications and control, thermal, instrumentation.

Execution of electrical tests to prepared procedures and test scripts. Defining electrical test aids and cables required to perform manual and remote electrical testing.

General support to the Principal Test Engineer in preparation and execution of electrical testing

Skills and Experience

Minimum HNC, or equivalent in an Electrical and Electronic Engineering discipline.

Current working knowledge of two or more of the following areas:

Electrical integration, test and operation in an ATE environment, practical and theoretical knowledge of electronic units and subsystems, both analogue and digital eg power supplies, RF and data communications equipment, positional control units, instrumentation, etc.

Current experience of test script execution.

Candidates should have an excellent working knowledge of COTS test equipment eg Logic Analysers, Spectrum Analysers, DMM, Oscilloscopes, data bus monitors etc.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

You must be willing to travel for long periods to Europe and possibly further afield.

Please be aware that this role will also include double shifts
