Scala and Java DeveloperLooking for mulitiple Scala Developers; Java Developers for more than 6 months contract in Zurich to start as soon as possible.
Contract type: Permanent/Contract
Location: on-site Zurich
Must be an EU citizen/Eligible work permit holder
Language: English, but German/Italian is advantage
Main Responsibilities:
• Be part of a new and growing development team
• Help building state of the art web based solutions for our partners
• Work closely with professionals to understand the business and gather requirements
• Developing innovative IT solutions on top of existing and brand new components
• Working with latest Scala technologies to broaden your skills
• Opportunities to take a leading role within key projects
Your Profile:
• 2+ years experience in Scala
• 4+ years experience in JVM based languages (Java or Scala)
• Experience in functional programming
• Experience with relational databases
• Experience with AKKA, CQRS or event sourcing is an asset
• Experience in finance or insurance industry is an asset
• Robust experience in relational data modelling, logical database design, complex SQL query analysis and design
• Strong problem solving skills and ability to find creative solutions
• Comfortable working in a small, international and agile team environment
• Willing to learn the complex business domain of Structured Pension Solutions and Portfolio Management
• Ability to work independently and a pro-active and communicative personality
