Cobol Mainframe Developer - Bank

Cobol Mainframe Developer required for a project with a leading Bank in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Enable digital solutions for our customers and employees while ensuring stability and compliance in the bank's Mainframe credit systems.

As senior Mainframe developer you will join our Local Credit Applications team and be part of development and maintenance of local and Nordic system on the Mainframe.

Key responsibilities
- Design, code and test programs on the IBM Mainframe
- Analyse requirements and existing systems in collaboration with your team and find the right solutions ensuring efficient implementation, quality and compliance
- Take responsibility for maintenance and support of our operational systems in production

Credit Foundation has the bank's responsibility to develop and maintain IT solutions within the credit area, including:
- Assessing the credit risk of the bank's customers through scoring and rating
- Automated credit recommendations and credit limits
- Managing credit risk signals
- Financial overview

We have a wide portfolio of systems across several platforms and build applications and services across Java, Oracle SOA suite, Mainframe and commercial off-the-shelf systems. The local Mainframe systems will exist for a number of years while new systems are established on strategic platforms.

They have 37 people across Copenhagen and Bangalore and currently have 3 development teams.

Based in Copenhagen you will join a team that collaborates with colleagues across the Nordics and our offshore teams in Bangalore.

Qualifications needed

You have extensive experience with:
- Cobol and SAS development on IBM Mainframe
- DB2 database development
- CICS/Batch-development
- Test and quality assurance

You can design, code, document and test highly effective applications, applying outstanding technical competence to fulfil business and IT requirements.

You enjoy collaborating with others in your team and are eager to share your knowledge. You can work independently when you understand what to achieve. In addition we expect that you as IT developer is a quick learner and able to build up an understanding of other platforms in order to enable you to collaborate with other teams.

It is a clear advantage if you have experience from financial sector and credit risk management.

You can work professionally using English in spoken and written form.

English is the only language required for this role.
