A hugely successful global company in the financial industry is seeking a Contract Performance Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join their Performance QA team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team who engage with delivery teams across the globe to Performance Test a wide variety of applications ensuring scalability and stability expectations meets the needs of each business function.
The Expertise They're Looking For
- BS or MS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent
- 4+ Years Performance Testing Experience required
- Loadrunner experience is essential
- Knowledge of Dynatrace is an advantage
- Knowledge of web technologies, Client Server, .NET and database systems.
- Knowledge of UNIX, Linux, AIX and MS Windows Operating systems.
- You will have accountability for delivering performance test projects from requirements analysis, Scripting and providing your recommendations to the project team.
- You will support Junior Associates in developing their Performance Testing expertise.
- Be able to identify and implement innovative solutions to increase the scale and effectives of Performance Testing.
- Excellent problem analysis and creative solution-building skills.
- Proven customer and relationship management experience
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working on projects using an Agile methodology would be an added advantage
Your daily duties will include:
- Eliciting performance test requirements from Delivery Teams
- Authoring test plans and reports to identify and assess the performance health of the systems under test.
- Working with software developers and architects to troubleshoot performance issues and identify/resolve root cause.
- Helping in defining, implementing, and monitoring the processes and procedures that need to be put in place to resolve and avoid future performance issues.
- Coaching and Mentoring Junior Performance QA Engineers
- Maintaining status of projects, initiates discussions with stakeholders or external groups to resolve issues, works directly with the user community for project definition.
- Participating in the creation of the Performance test strategy and take responsibility for its implementation
