For our client in the R&D industry we are looking for a IBM Rational Support Expert!

Start: ASAP

Duration: At least a year

Location: Eindhoven

Language: English (conversational Dutch)

Our client works in a Scaled Agile Framework Environment (SAFe), and is looking for someone who can support their life cycle management tools. In order to do this, you need to be aware of the process in such an environment. The candidate will need to apply his or her knowledge in SW development tooling and processes in a global IT environment to help us provide a world-class SW development environment for our customers. The candidate will be given ownership of critical development and project management tooling supporting global teams that follow the Scaled Agile way of working.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Support IBM Rational Collaborative Lifecycle Management (RTC, DNG, RQM) and future application life cycle and source control solutions including

  • User administration and access control
  • Work with the user community to adopt new features, enable new use cases, and help resolve any issues
  • Monitor the health of the solution and take proactive steps to ensure reliable availability and performance
  • Create customizations and tools to help support the team's needs (PM, Dev, Test, & Ops)
  • Manage patches and updates for tooling solutions and related hosting environment including the operating system
  • Work with and manage escalation to the service provider to resolve issues that impact normal operations of the environment
  • Take the lead in the validation of the application

Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent is required
  • Five or more years of experience in the administration and support of IBM Rational requirements/test/configuration management tooling is required
  • Strong knowledge of application life cycle workflows and processes involved in the design, development, deployment, test, and maintenance of software systems in the Windows environment
  • Solid experience with Scripting languages is required
  • Solid experience with system administration in a Windows OS environment is required
  • Solid knowledge in agile development methodologies and principles is required
  • Experience with validation of applications is desired
