Oracle Apps DBA
Oracle Apps DBA required by Whitehall Resources for a 5 Month Extendable Contract Requirement with our client in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Skills/Experience Required:
* Comprehensive expert level knowledge of Oracle EBS R11/R12 application administration including installation, configuration, cloning, and upgrades, using Oracle EBS R12
* Applications DBA (AD) utilities and other tools to apply patches and system updates.
* Performing Apps DBA tasks
* Knowledge of the multi-node EBS environment to administer Concurrent Managers,Concurrent Programs, Request Sets, Request Groups, and Workflows and troubleshooting Workflow Mailer/Notification issues, WebLogic administration
* Should be responsible for installation, configuration, upgrading, administrating, monitoring, troubleshooting, cloning, Patching, Backup and restore of various Oracle Databases.
* Solid experience that includes developing, deploying, administration, and managing Databases in Production environments on various platforms such as Windows, Solaris, UNIX, AIX, HP UX, Linux etc. Versions include 9i, 10g, 11g and 12c.
* Make recommendations of database migration path to insure optimal performance and availability.
* Diagnose and correct problems that occur within databases and application interfaces
* Troubleshoot problems and take corrective action to fix problem in a timely manner. Contact Vendor specific technical support as necessary.
* Provide 24x7 and on call support for critical application databases
* Review performance of databases on various platforms and provide and implement recommendations for improved performance.
* Experience in RAC implementation and Administration on Linux/Solaris/AIX/Windows.
* Expert in database high level design documentation with HA and DR and database documentation based on solutions provided to customers like Scope of work documentation, Project estimations etc.
* Excellent communicator with key ability to give presentations & demonstrations to propose business prospects & different features.
* Backup and recovery experience with RMAN/User Managed/Logical
* Oracle Data guard implementation and Administration experience.
* Expert in implementations of oracle 9i, 10g,11g and 12c on Windows, Linux/HP Unix/Solaris on cluster and non-cluster environments.
* Oracle Grid control, OEM and Database Management life cycle implementation experience.
* Install, configure and manage ASM Database.
* Should have experience in Oracle Golden gate Administration.
* Should have experience in database refresh and re-org.
* Install and configure grid control database monitoring tools
* Administer and manage Oracle grid control
* Write and troubleshoot Shell Scripting, SQL and PL/SQL scripts
* Extensive experience on database architect, solutions for HA (High Availability) and DR based on customer business requirement.
* Requirements Gathering - Scoping & Documenting, Elicit Requirements by customer meetings & categorization, System Analysis by building prototype & Templates, Communication of requirements, Identification and Verification of Solution.
* Experience in Oracle Advanced security design and implementations
* Redaction Data Masking, Database Vault, Audit vault and database Firewall.
* Extensive experience on Disaster Recovery database/Standby databases design, solutions with Data Guard, Active Data guard and with Third party replication technologies.
* Hands on experience on Standby database/Data Guard, Active Data Guard RAC, ASM and RMAN.
* Experience in Oracle 10g and 11g Application Server forms and Reports on Linux/Windows.
* Preparing backup strategies. Perform logical and physical backups using export and RMAN backups, recovery and failed backup troubleshooting.

* Oracle 10g/11g RAC expert (OCE)
