Description

Graduate/Trainee IT Operations Analyst - Central Bristol

The IT Operations Analyst will provide expert, professional IT services to colleagues and customers.
Working within the IT Operations team, this role will carry out reactive and pro-active work in support of business goals and priorities. Areas of work in scope for this role will span the entire IT estate of the company.
The role holder will work with both business customers and 3rd party suppliers, delivering solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
This role will offer training and the opportunity to progress a career in IT.

The Service Delivery Team is responsible for introducing and supporting new and improved services, tools and technologies, tailored to support global business needs. The Service Delivery Team not only manages the application environments, but also administers company-wide application platforms. These include ERP systems, BI systems, public/private cloud services, monitoring and reporting systems and work management/collaboration systems to name but a few.
The Service Delivery Team also has the responsibility of supporting and maintaining the infrastructure and their underpinning platforms, that form the foundation of the company's services. This includes: Networking, Storage, IT Security assurance, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery provision.

This role is a starting position in the Service Delivery Team, suitable for an individual with pre-existing, demonstrable 1st or 2nd line IT support skills. The role holder will be looking for a new challenge in a more technically focused team. As such the role holder will be expected to build upon existing skills and offer a wide range of support skills across a broad technical landscape; this has the potential to cover the whole of the technology stack powering our business services.

Activities undertaken in this role will include adaptation, replacement or introduction of new technical services and business processes.

The IT department runs a predominantly agile based working methodology, using the principles of Scrum and Kanban. Whilst the role holder will work within and report into the Service Delivery Team, it's likely that they may also join broader multi-disciplinary teams from time to time.

The role holder will be autonomous on a daily to weekly basis, with work priorities, projects and results reviewed on this schedule.

The role holder will undertake small to medium scale projects independently and work as a team member on large scale projects.
