Mechanical Engineer
CAD responsibility for new product development
Location: Cornwall
Salary: 28-32k
Joining this well established market leader with currently 130 employees you will bring your expertise within CAD to ensure that this constantly innovating technology is effectively managed into production.
You will create and maintain manufacturing documentation, product CAD and BOM data; developing drawings and bridging the gap between R&D and production.
Focused on design for manufacture within electromechanical products you will ensure a robust configuration management system providing technical support on mechanical manufacturing problems.
You will provide the liaison for outsourced manufacturing ensuring an agreed assembly structure has been provided for all products and support the drive for continuous improvement.
Candidate
Ideally with CAD Technician experience utilising Solidworks (although other CAD systems will be welcomed) you will have delivered technical drawing solutions in product design. Your knowledge within a range of manufacturing techniques (milling, turning, fabrication, plastic injection moulding) will enable you to effectively manage NPI and provide practical, innovative product solutions to remain at the forefront of these secure technologies.
