Description

One of our leading clients within renewable energy is currently looking for an Onshore Archaeology Clerk of Works who will be responsible for the Civils works associated with the onshore cable lay between grid connection and the onshore substation.

Principle accountabilities:

To represent the interests of the client during the pre-construction Archaeology works by:
  • Monitoring of the progression of the excavation/works on site.
  • Overseeing the quality and workmanship.
  • Recording the number and duration of the Contractors personnel on site for payment purposes.
  • Recording any Plant, machinery used on site for payment purposes.
  • Recording any Subcontractors used on site for payment purposes.
  • Recording and agreeing minor site changes and minor variations.
  • Ensuring the works are executed in accordance with the Contractor proposals, and as such, in a safe manner.
  • Liaise with land owners to ensure continuity of work for the Contractor.
  • Record and monitor progress and report of any potential issues that could affect/harm progress of the Contract Works.
  • Attending progress meetings with the Contractor.
