My client is a global pharmaceuticals Powerhouse looking for new Configuration Managers to add to their team.

Job Title: IT Infrastructure Configuration Manager
Duration: 8 months + (Long-Term Mission)
Location: Prague, Czech Republic
Start Date: ASAP
Sector: Pharmaceuticals

Specific role description:

Expectations:

1.Analyses and processes complex engineering changes to determine the impact on the overall system.
2. Ensures configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness, proper authorizations, and system updates.
3. Performs configuration management database (CMDB) audits and documents results.
4. Aids in the development of configuration and change management policies based on program requirements.
5. Identifies requirements and coordinates the development and implementation of computer-based configuration/data management systems and related support activities.
6. Provides guidance and training to managers, site leads, engineers, systems and network administrators regarding configuration and change management procedures.
7. Applies comprehensive knowledge of ITIL principles, methods, techniques and best practices to configuration management and change management.
8. Manages the local Definitive Media Library and processes requests to change the authorised product list (APL).
9. Serves as local Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Change Management and Configuration Management for supporting external requests, data calls, and Contract Deliverables (CDRL) reporting to the Program Office.
10. Attends and participates in weekly Configuration Advisory Board (CAB) meetings.
11. Participates in special projects as required.

Skills:

*Defining Configuration Items (CIs).
*Auto-discovery of CIs and populating a Configuration Management Database (CMDB) (Required: BMC Discovery/ADDM).
*Overseeing the deployment and management of a CMDB (Service Now)
*Ensuring data accuracy and normalization of data
*Managing the relationship process and manually building relationships in a CMDB
*Managing the onboarding and integration of other tool sets
*Coordinating with other process and functional areas: Change Management, Asset Management, Service Operations, etc.
*Ensuring information is protected, backed-up, and performing recovery operations.
*ITIL v3 Intermediate certification.
*Assisting in establishing a formal governance model and the creation of key performance indicators (KPIs).
*Regular reporting to stakeholders and senior management.

The ideal candidate will have experience in:

1. Serving as local Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Change Management, Configuration Management, Baseline Configuration and the procurement process for supporting external requests, data calls.
2. Attending and participate in Technical Operations and or Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings.
3. Processing service request and change request tickets using SCSM or similar ticketing tool.

Qualifications

5-8 years of related configuration management experience.

Common Key skills and competencies:

Solid understanding of ITSM disciplines - especially Incident management, Problem Management, Change management.
* Good understanding of statistical and analytical principles and processes.
* Strong technical foundation in the reporting and presentation tool(s).
* Good communication skills.
* Good technical understanding and an ability to translate technical requirements and specifications into easily understood reporting requirements.
* A solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change management process.
* Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools.
* Efficient in working on RoD tool.
* Comprehensive knowledge and expertise in the area of IT Service Management, in particular, the process of Change Management.
* Strong Reporting skills in Service Now (Primary tool) and Remedy On Demand (Secondary).
* Support change management at the organizational level and manage change portfolio.

Comment:

Candidate should have Strong working knowledge and hands on experience on Service Now (Primary) and Remedy On Demand (Secondary) ITSM tools.
