Description
This role is within the Notes Issuance team and is located at 8 Canada Square, Canary Wharf Derivative Operations. The team is responsible for the review and issuance of Final Terms documentation relating to HBEU and HBFR issued Medium Term Notes for EM, Credit, Rates, FXO, Equity and BSM MTN business. The role will require close contact with the Global Markets business unit across the mentioned asset classes, with Group Legal and other support functions to ensure the timely and accurate issuance of documentation.
This role requires pro-active engagement with internal and external stakeholders, both regionally and globally, strong communication skills, some paralegal skills plus the ability to independently identify efficiency and STP opportunities. It also requires the individual to have a familiarity with the legal and regulatory issues associated with structured notes and an awareness of the Industry/Regulatory improvements within the Derivatives market, and how that may impact the day-to-day processes. A strong understanding of Operational risk and maintaining a robust control environment is essential
Responsibilities:
* The role supports EM, Rates, FXO, Credit[,equity] and BSM business who issue MTN notes under the notes and warrants programme.
* The main function being the drafting of Final terms (Pricing supplements), some of which are listed on the Irish stock exchange and the London stock exchange.
* The role will require strong connectivity with the London Front Office, Legal and CTLA operations teams so excellent communication and influencing skills are key
* Drafting and checking pricing supplements across multiple asset classes is key, alongside a sense of urgency and ability to work within set deadlines and a recognition as to when to escalate to legal.
