Description
Electrical SME required for a 12 month contract with a global biotech company in Dublin.
Role and responsibilities:
- Participate in equipment FAT's and SAT's.
- Participates in construction walkdowns.
- Partners with Engineering firm counterparts to identify opportunities to reduce cost and schedule.
- Part of the Electrical SWAT Team in relation to punch list closure both pre-M/C and during the CQV execution phase.
- Ensure compliance with all local codes and regulations, including ATEX directives.
- Reviews and approves commissioning protocols associated with area of expertise.
- Supports CM and CQV team on troubleshooting during start-up/commissioning activities.
- Partners with F&E to develop and procure spare parts and format parts.
- Provides Technical guidance on the development of plant maintenance programs.
- Liaise with CQV and Lead Scheduler in relation to schedule creation and management for all Electrical Systems, ensuring all correct predecessors and successors are in place.
- Liaises with other disciplines to ensure alignment and coordination across disciplines.
- Liaise with all Project Groups (CM/CQV/Automation/Process/SMEs/Ops/Maintenance/PMs) to ensure all Electrical Systems are managed appropriately for the entire Project Lifecycle.
- Works closely with the CM, project and owner teams to develop the schedule which supports project completion date.
- The role will also focus on the elements of the schedule relating to facility readiness including procurement, commissioning, Training and Qualification along with the review/approval of documentation in support of these activities.
- Ensure proper installation details and studies are developed and that it is protected at the soonest opportunity following installation.
- Partner with CM to ensure quality of installation follows requirements and expectations.
- Coordinate with CM and system owners during walk downs and agree the categorisation of punch items, sign off mechanical completion certification.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in the biopharmaceutical industry including experience with design, construction commissioning and operation for biopharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.
- Extensive knowledge of MV and LV power distribution, generators, UPS systems, lighting & emergency lighting, small power, voice/data, cable containment, fire alarm, earthing & bonding, lightning protection, security, hazardous areas and fire alarm.
- Extensive understanding of all applicable electrical engineering codes, standards and acceptable industry standards.
- Experience with complex projects and working in or around operating facilities.
- Experience in troubleshooting and providing SME support for Electrical Systems in a GMP Environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency communicating and collaborating at a variety of levels with customers, vendors, equipment suppliers and operations staff.
- Proven success working well in a team environment with flexibility to react to changing business needs.
- Problem solver with a focus on achievement of overall project goals.
- Computer skills (Spreadsheets, Word Processing, Visio, Microsoft Project, Building Management Systems, SAP, AutoCAD, Navisworks, SharePoint, etc.).
