Description

Skills, knowledge, experience required:

* Secondary school education with some university or specialized training in informatics, computer science or a closely related engineering field, and 2 years IT-related experience in Configuration Management.
* Practical experience in the usage of Service Management tools
* Experience with ITIL release, deployment, change and configuration management best practices
* Experience leading meetings and committees
* Knowledge of Quality Management principles
* Experience in the operation of Change Advisory Boards (CAB)
* Practical Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) experience
* Background on application development and design
* Configuration Management best practices and process experience
* Soft skills: Working as part of a team. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Fluency in English at B2 level (listening, speaking, reading and writing). The work, both oral and written, is conducted in English.

Desirable qualifications and experience:
* Bachelor Degree on informatics, computer science or a closely related engineering field
* Sound knowledge of Service Design, Service Transition and Service Operation processes and principles according to ITILv3

Duties/role

The following duties shall be performed by the selected candidate with respect to the SMC Configuration Management.

Primary duties:

* Maintains and enforces Service Assets and Configuration Management (SACM) procedures to control all network CIS within assigned systems.
* Manage and Support the Definitive Media Library (Physical and Electronic Medias)
* Manage and Support the Approved Fielded Product List (AFPL)
* Participates in the configuration and maintenance of the configuration management tools.
* Participates in both reviews and the change management process for CIS assets.
* Provides inputs to the configuration management plan, policy and procedures.
* Liaises with other divisions and NATO Agencies in matters concerning configuration management.

Secondary duties:

* Ensures that CM requirements are clearly identified and fulfilled in system handover plans from external agencies and Host nations for new systems or system increments delivered to the NCI Agency.
* On behalf of the Section Head, when required, represents Section at appropriate Configuration Control Boards, coordinating the scheduling of all activities leading to new software releases.
