Proteus Europe is searching for an English and French/Dutch speaking Application administrator - ops engineer for a 6 month contract role based in Brussels, Belgium.

Our Client :-
Our client is, as the first universal direct bank, a strong player on the Belgian market. The bank provides its customers with a wide range of financial products and services via the distribution channel of their choice (click and face). Our clients customers are based in retail as well as private banking clients, as well as small, medium and large enterprises.

Your New role :-

The DevOps Java team (within ITS Customer Centric Core domain) is responsible for Analyzing, developing, testing, deploying, monitoring and maintaining applications (home made application, Package and Cloud solution). Our portfolio contains critical applications that run 24x7 over several channels, application for Branch (4000 users).

As an Operations Engineer, youll in charge of, deployment, incident and problem management, and support of current and new application.
Lead complex troubleshooting and resolve critical or escalated technical issues over a complex landscape.

We are actively searching for a OPS Engineer who will be part of the DevOps Java team.
As OPS Engineer :
o You must have Strong analytical skills and strong technology and multi-platform knowledge and good coordination and communication skills.
o You ensure that all deployments are carried out on schedule, are fully deployed, implemented and functioning in the operational environments.
o You create, update all risk documents.
o You update Architecture document based on detailed Technical design.
o You update or create all documentation for the support.
o Use independent judgment in managing, analyzing, documenting and solving incident and problem, interpret and present conclusions to management and team members with specific recommendations. You document the resolution progress and the applied solutions.
o You set up the monitoring for our application and follow this monitoring.
o You take full ownership of one or multiple domains in our applications

Your Skills and experience :-

Essential Skills :-
- Bachelor/Master or equivalent by experience in Computer science.
- ITIL knowledge or certification.
- Splunk monitoring experiences
- Fluent knowledge of English and French or Dutch.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Websphere/IIS technologies, Wintel, Unix and Linux Environment and in Database oracle/SQL
- You will be able to understand and execute technical run-books and the complexity of Architecture design.
- Experience in a second line can be useful.
- Experience with Agile is an advantage.
- Familiar with (automatic) testing and release management principles is an advantage
