For our client located in Milan we are currently looking for an Operations and Maintenance Fleet Engineer

Start: ASAP
End: 3 months (+ extension)
Location: Milan and travel within North Italy
Volume: full time
Language: Italian mother tongue/fluent with good technical-English communication skills

Project background
The client is seeking additional support in his team due to an increase work. The work will be partly at the main location in Milan and the rest of the time (50-70 percent onsite at different plant locations throughout north Italy)

Responsibility and Tasks
- Being the site responsible person ("Responsabile Impianto" and "PES Persona Esperta" as per CEI 11-27 definition) for specified sites
- Being the "enabled" boiler operator (II degree) if required
- Ensure that all works at site are carried out as per the Health & Safety standards and in compliance with Italian law decree ; being the "preposto" as per law decree art 19 to coordinate and supervise site activities and to check that those activities are carried out according to the instruction given by the Employeer or by its delegate
- Carry-out Level 1 maintenance tasks on Gas Engine if required
- Develop and oversee equipment maintenance plans, consistent with the plant characteristics and operational behaviors, support the Remote Contol Center in preparing and planning all day to day and large maintenance events
- Make regular checks of plant equipment and propose and make adjustments, coordinate repairs and service by the Service Partners
- Drive proactive monitoring and preventive activities to secure the plant operation and in particular to secure contractual obligation with client's Customers are met.
- Propose and deliver technical improvements and experience of the operated sites
- Being the technical/operational point of contact for the Customer; support the RCC in planning the plant outages with the Customer
- Reporting to the Italy Operations and Maintenance Country Leader

Qualification
- 5 or more years experience in Operation and Maintenance of gas fired engine gen-set
- Proven experience as commissioning engineer, the activity focuses on the autonomous commissioning of company -produced complete units for CHP (Combined Heat and Power) through testing of sensors, actuators and automation system, startup of the internal conbustion reciprocating engine (prime mover) and heat recovery equipment like heat exchangers, hot waters boilers and steam boilers
- Maintenance training certificate/qualification as per EN 15628
- Strong and specific knowledge in gas fired engine, heat recovery steam generator and gas fired boiler techniques is a mandatory requirement
- Demonstrated knowledge of "Condition Based Maintenance" and "Fault finding techniques" as well repair techniques and methods, maintenance concepts/Methodologies, etc
- Working knowledge of gas fired CHCP systems risk analyses methodology
- Strong knowledge in mechanics, industrial hydraulic systems, industrial pneumatic systems
- Solid knowledge in electrical/electronic competences, power distribution, safety system, electronics and instrumentation
- Second Level fired boiler operator certificate, as per cogent Italian law, is preferred
- "PES" qualification ('Persona esperta' as per 'CEI 11-27' definition) given by former Employer is required
