Description

The successful candidate will be the on-site representative of the client at their supplier site (manufacturing partner) ensuring product quality during the rundown and closure of the suppliers local site. The role will be required from June through to the end of September 2017.

Key Tasks:

  • Inspect ready to ship product for completeness, functionality and cosmetic requirements
  • Collate and publish accurate inspection records for ready to ship products, ensuring all incidents of non-conformance are recorded and highlighted to supplier and the client
  • Where necessary, inspection of individual mechanical parts for inclusion with the products
  • Assist in any other Quality Assurance tasks to ensure product quality, leaving the supplier, is to the required standard
  • Comply with the Health, Safety and Environmental Policies of Supplier and the client

Skills and Attributes:

  • Understanding of electronic product manufacturing
  • Awareness of ISO 9001
  • Team working skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills & ability to work under sensitive situations
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Able to drive and with own transportation to travel between supplier and the client sites when necessary
  • Experience of product inspection to agreed cosmetic standards

Qualifications and working knowledge of:

  • HNC (or equivalent) in Quality or related Engineering Discipline
  • Strong working knowledge of electronics in particular hand held devices.
