Hatstand, a global financial consultancy, has a fantastic opportunity for a FIX High touch Support Analyst at a Top Financial Firm in the city.
The successful candidates will be responsible for front-to-back support duties on both the Equities and Fixed Income platforms. This will include the support of order routing and trade-flows including algorithmic business, MTF platform, OMS and venue integration and member support and administration via phone and email.
The successful candidates should possess a positive can-do' attitude and an intuitively high level of customer service in their approach. This will complement strong FIX, database (SQL, Sybase or Oracle), as well as Windows Administration and Networking troubleshooting skills (which may also involve Firewall/routing issues).
Responsibilities

. Working within a shift rota to provide London support coverage from 7 am - 6 am
. Contribute towards "follow the Sun" support model, working closely with global teams in APAC and US to ensure pre-market health checks are performed for each region
. perform regional start of day health checks to ensure all members are connected ti the platform
utilising proprietary tools, provide daily application support and troubleshooting for platform members and internal users, escalating to Development teams appropriately
Qualifications/Skills

Essential:
At least 3 years hands-on support experience within a financial institution (buy-side, sell-side, venue/platform provider)
Demonstrable working knowledge of Equities or Fixed Income products and flows
Strong knowledge of the FIX protocol and experience supporting FIX flows
Proven experience of supporting Windows Server environments
Experience in troubleshooting network problems: ie Firewall and routing problems
Solid application support experience within a Unix/Linux environment
Desirable:
Exposure to supporting message-based architecture (Solace, TIBCO etc)
Hands-on working knowledge of at least one buy-side or sell-side Order Management System
Hands-on experience of MSSQL, Oracle and Sybase database environments, including query-writing
Experience in programming or Scripting language
