I am currently working on an excellent opportunity for a leading city based investment bank. My client is looking for a highly technical System administrator to support of all Unix/Linux platforms. You will have responsibility for delivering reliable, highly available performance systems. This will include installation, configuration, monitoring, maintaining and troubleshooting related systems and connected storage.
Key skills:
- Excellent practical knowledge of Unix Performance Monitoring and Tuning Utilities and Commands
- Excellent experience of Linux Redhat 6 in a production environment
- Excellent experience of VMWare ESX 5.5 in a Production environment
- Banking is not essential
Highly desirable skills:
- Excellent knowledge of Veritas Foundation suite
- Experience of Linux Redhat 7.
- Experience of JIRA and Confluence
- Experience of migrating data from Subversion to Github Enterprise and/or Atlassian Bitbucket
- Experience of Shell Scripting Skills with bash and Perl.
- Experience of Veritas Clustering
- Experience working with agile development teams and DevOps
