Storage Administrator - contract - 3 months - Dublin
Storage Administrator services including EMC,VMAX, NetApp, Hitachi,HP XP & DP arrays and others, fiber channel Switches (Cisco and Brocade), FCIP remote replication, EMC SRDF and Perl Scripting.
Required experience
Expertise in databases backups, define and evaluate the different backup and recovery hardware as well as systems software.
Able to recommend new technology solutions.
As a project manager, need to manage the coordination and implementation of the new design of all backup related components
Should have expertise in Storage and Backup technologies
Should have architect experience for storage and backup solutions
Should have expertise in designing Disaster Recovery solutions
Should have expertise in designing SAN storage solutions
Should have expertise in designing Enterprise Backup solutions
Assist in implementation of designed and accepted solutions
In-depth knowledge on Storage concepts: RAID, IOPS, Throughput, FCAL, ISCSI, MPIO
In-depth knowledge on SAN Switch features: Zoning, Fabric creation, Fabric extension, Fabric Activation/Deactivation, VSAN, Trunking
Experience in building and configuring Storage systems
Experience in using data backup/recovery software
Storage Firm ware and Hardware upgrades
IT Customer Support/Service Delivery experience
Operating system platforms in scope:
Unix - Solaris, AIX, HP UX, Linux
Windows - Windows 2003, Windows 2008
VMWare ESX
