Description

Compliance Administrator, Asset Management Bank, Edinburgh - 3 months

My client, a Global Asset Management Custodial Bank, require a competent Compliance Administrator to join their team in Edinburgh, on an initial 3 month contract.

The role of the UK Compliance Officer PG is primarily to support the bank's legal entities to remain compliant with regulatory requirements and corporate compliance policies.

This is achieved primarily through the following a various functions including but not limited to:

Compliance regulatory reporting, Legal Entity regulatory governance obligations, Compliance policy, regulatory obligations under Personal Securities Trading, regulatory obligations under Training & Competency.

Responsibilities

Regulatory Registers

  • Providing support the PG team by maintaining the EMEA wide regulatory registers
    • Complaints
    • Breaches
    • Conflicts of interest
  • Ensure issues reported to Compliance are in accordance to policy - escalate any problems/continued breaches of policy to Head of Policy &Governance

Personal Security Trading

  • Provide Support for the Personal Securities Trading Co-ordinator for EMEA by undertaking monthly, quarterly and bi annual reconciliations of employee broker statements against the Progenet System, ensuring all transactions declared reconcile with statements, challenge discrepancies and escalate any issues.
  • Provide Personal Securities Data and relevant MI to:
    • Senior Management Committees
    • Compliance senior managers and relevant stakeholders
  • The candidate will further support the Policy and Governance team by undertaking timely and accurate reconciliations of employees' broker statements ensuring EMEA wide compliance with global personal securities trading policies and responsibilities

Essential

  • Concise and effective communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Administration experience within Banking
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of Corporate Governance, Board and Committee structures
  • Ability to influence and manage senior stakeholders.
  • Previous experience of working within a controlled and financial regulated organisation.
  • Solutions focussed and able to problem solve.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to extract key information relatable to the task at hand.
  • Experience of the Microsoft Office suite, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.

Experience

The candidate will ideally have experience in one of the following areas:

  • Compliance
  • Administration
  • Banking/Financial Services
