Operations Analyst
Type of Position: Contract
40 hour work week

*Candidate hired will be an Ntelicor W2 employee*

Job Summary:

Plan, direct, and coordinate technical activities to support application project teams. Responsible for coordinating operation efforts amongst various teams (Development, Infrastructure, Enterprise and Manage Service Providers) with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences. Quick and creative thinker who can multi-task as needed. Strong experience with building strategic relationships and ability to remove road blocks through collaboration. Candidate must have a general technical knowledge and understand the requirements for Infrastructure platforms and application development. Work hours will vary depending on operations schedule, available 24 x 7 with a willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed. Candidate must think outside of the box, be flexible and organized.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required.
  • 3-5 years of IT experience required.
  • 1-3 years of experience supporting Data Center operations.
  • 1-3 years of experience working with managed service providers and/or cloud providers.

  • Ability to work independently and manage one's time. (Required)
  • Overall understanding of Infrastructure platforms and technologies. (Required)
  • ITIL Best Practices for ITSM. (Required)
  • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plans. (Required)
  • Software Development Life Cycle. (Required)
  • Agile Project Methodology. (Preferred)

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Cargo Infrastructure, Application and Release teams to Coordinate Production change and maintenance schedule.
  • Communicate impacts of production implementations and issues to business and IT stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver status communications specific to the required audience.
  • Facilitate resolution of production issues.
  • Recognize and communicate potential issues.
  • Escalate items requiring attention or interaction.
  • Maintain operations documentation.
  • Provide production analytics and KPI's.
  • Handling multiple inputs in a high-pressure and dynamic environment.
  • Meet with managers, supervisors, enterprise services, vendors and managed service providers to solicit cooperation and resolve problems
