I'm looking for an experienced Document Controller to join on of the largest utility companies in the UK to support with the creation and implementation of a brand new document control system.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a new document control system to meet the needs of the company.
- Provide input into the IT system specification for the DC solution
- Provide training to relevant personnel on the document control system
- Provide support to the quality department in the on-going development of a QMS
- Provide support to the project/operations teams
- Administer the document control system ensuring documents are filed, adequately indexed and reports are produced as required.
- Support the handover of data for inclusion in handover records
- Maintain document registers for observation reports, method statements, technical queries, technical inspections, drawings, welding procedures, NDT procedures, commissioning procedures etc.
- Administer the process for changes in National Grid specifications, procedures etc.
