SAM Analyst.
....with severe urgency, I am looking for attention to detailed Senior Software Asset Management License Compliance Analyst type individuals who have outstanding and awesome knowledge within the Big Data arena.
Primary skill sets sought are:
Familiarity with IT Service models such as ITIL, Cobit, etc.
Flexera Suite, BMC Remedy CMDB, or other IT Asset Management tool is required
Proven track record of improving software license position/compliance with metrics
Ability to work with large data sets and analyze and report out information
Microsoft Office (especially Word, Visio, Outlook, Skype, Powerpoint) skills required
Multi-Task across considerable number of initiatives active at the same time
Experience working with IT software vendors such as Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, etc. is required
....from having this you will be:
- Developing and documenting Client's license model and ensures this model is reflected in Flexnet Management Suite tool configuration & data
- Developing, Implementing, and Tracking software license maturity plan to increase Client's license position maturity and overall compliance
- Documenting software license compliance approach, process, and roles & responsibilities
- Makeing recommendations on ITAM tool(s) configuration & usage to enable license compliance. Works with Tools sub-team to ensure FNMS requirements are implemented.
- Developing, updates, and presenting software license compliance performance metrics including software license position, number of titles in compliance, etc.
- Participating in license compliance audits by providing reports, evidence, and process information
- Proactively monitoring for non-compliance situations and makes immediate plans for rectification; once plans are approved by Client, tasks are executed per plan
- Making recommendations to Client on additional ways to save money and executes approved changes
- Working closely with other ITAM team members to partner on their areas as needed based on volume and team priorities:
- Managing and maintaining software titles in the software catalog
- Maintaining renewals & other in-scope contracts
- Tracking savings related to renewals, avoided license purchases, and other realized savings
- Reviewing new software titles to be introduced to the Client's environment
- Leading/assisting in delivery of periodic license true-ups/renewals
- Running software license reports with the ability to work within Remedy to fulfil IT requests related to software or as required.
