Unix System Administrator, with Knowledge on Windows
For one of my globally leading tech clients we urgently need a Unix System Administrator, with Knowledge on Windows for a long contract working from their amazing offices in Poland.
Contract: 6 -12months + (rolling)
Location: Poland
Rates: Negotiable.
Job Description:
The successful Unix System Administrator will have the following skills & experience:
Primary Knowledge
- Deep Knowledge in Solaris- and Linux-Server
- Script- and Shell programming
- Mastering Cluster-Technologies (SUN Cluster, Veritas Cluster)
- Virtualization techniques (SUN LDOM, Solaris Container, XEN, KVM)
- Knowledge in WebSphere MQ and MQFTE, Message Broker
Secondary Knowledge
- Knowledge of operating system OS W2k3, W2k8, W2k8 R2
- Knowledge of current Windows Server Hardware
- Knowledge of VMWare
- MS SQL Server und SQL DB
- MS Windows Cluster
- TCP/IP, DNS, Printservice, Fileservice, Active Directory
Tasks
- 3rd Level System Support in the area of FrontOffice/BackOffice/Markets and Trading for CIB
- Installation, Administration and operation of Solaris- and Linux-based Server Systems in complex, internationally networked environments
- Performance- and Capacity Management of Systems
- Incident- and Problem handling as well as organization and implementation of technical changes
- Contribution to projects covering implementation of new Application Systems
- Integration of Application Systems into high-availability solutions
- Production assurance, integration of Application Systems into central Monitoring- and Security services
Individual skills and requirements
- Experience with complex IT systems
- Working knowledge of Banking business structures
- Preferable knowledge in banking structures and processes and/or previous experience within banking.
- Flexibility and teamwork (changes, troubleshooting)
- Fluent English; German (optional)
- Experience in working in an international and multi-cultural environment and ability to work in a fast paced environment and deal with multiple tasks and multicultural environment
- Readiness for Action also outside the common working hours, in a shift concept.
- Team-oriented and communicative working style, communicative working-style
- Capability to understand and manage complex correlations
- High level of autonomy and flexibility and good time management skills
- Readiness to familiarize oneself quickly with a complex environment
