IT Infrastructure

The domain client IT Infrastructure is responsible for all client-IT internal infrastructure services (Enterprise computing, Connectivity and Telecom, Workplace and Collaboration) and IT-Innovation & Architecture within client IT.

The manager of IT Infrastructure is reporting to the CIO of client.

The Applicant is hired in IT infra (Generic), taking care of all Back End computing and storage facilities for client and being responsible for storage architecture for public/private cloud services, high end computing for R&D, dedicated infrastructures in the Fab's, Back End computing and storage for workplace and all IT Infrastructure services for business applications. For Generic IT this even includes implementations and operational tasks when needed.

Candidates contribution:

Responsibility of position is to evaluate and direct for all type of storage environments globally in client. This include primary storage, archive, backup, capacity planning and analysis, as well as cloud storage solutions to be integrated in the landscape. The applicant will provide well thought out ideas and approves or challenges team direction and decisions with a focus on what is best for client financially and strategically in light of the current and future influencing constraints and business requirements. Development of IT procedures and processes facilitate high quality IT services and enable to maximize on simplification, standardization and consolidation. Focus is to smartly use and migrate to Cloud Services. Challenges include data management, demand growth and security in a partially historic grown diverse setup.

Position will collaborate with outsourced operational teams as well as engineering groups and has a linkage to the IT Infrastructure architecture, to review and make directing proposals on storage designs in heterogeneous environment. This is ranging from structured storage solutions like DB, Applications and engineering and developing data to unstructured user and department solutions, on SAN, NAS or direct attached Storage. Applicant must be able to contribution in key projects by ensuring efficient project rollouts in time and budget.

- Technology and Service ownership for Enterprise Storage and Data Protection

- Participates in Change Control Board for Storage related infrastructure changes

- Responsible for vendor escalations as required

- Responsible for capacity planning and analysis

- Responsible for the Enteprise Storage Solution Architecture and defining or leading the architecture & design of storage solutions in client

Ensures systems uptime & stability

- Ensures process & procedures are followed and documentation is completed when new services are deployed

- Identify process and procedures that are missing and Remedy

- Ensure business requirements are meet within agreed timelines

- Ensure to align to simple and robust resilient and redundant setups and services.

- Define support structure and review operation issues as needed

- Able to perform timely and clear communications with IT Groups and as needed to Business

- Eager to drive to constant service improvement

- Ability to align with technical peers with functional and technical ownership and working with outsources service providers in a collaborative way

- Ability to work in a global multicultural organization with Matrix management and partial remote management structures.

(Education, experience, knowledge, skills (technical & personal)

Knowledge Skills

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent industry experience required. Master's degree desired.

- Excellent knowledge in NetAPP Storage Technology, Netapp Certification (NCDA, NCIE) is a plus.

- Knowledge in EMC. Certifications in EMC is a plus.

- Knowledge of other storage systems is a plus. (HP EVA, IBM)

- UX, REDHAT and Windows is a must

- Experience in Storage Area Networking (Switching and Zoning)

- Deep understand in Storage Network related protocols and technology is expected.

- Experience with a diversified HW footprint to connect compute with storage infrastructure (Brocade, EMC, CISCO) is expected.

- Excellent knowledge and understanding of virtualization technologies such as VMWare is a plus.

- Fundamental Project Management skills (PRINCE2, Agile/SCRUM, PMP) is a plus

- Excellent technical skills with proven ability to communicate, initiate change, and drive to results.

- Good skills and ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously with little or no management supervision. Must be able to align with multiple projects, meetings, timelines and objectives.

- Good analytical skills, and a strong ability to learn and assess new systems and technologies.

- Experience with Cloud Storage (AWS, AZURE) is a plus

- Experience with disaster recovery, local or remote replication technology
