Description
We are seeking a smart, self-motivated DevOps Engineer for a position within our growing team of software professionals. This position will involve developing, testing, deploying and maintaining Server Side software for several consumer-facing product. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for the configuration and maintenance of the server environment. Candidate must be willing to learn and capable of working well within a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Produce maintainable, testable, extensible, clean, well-documented code according to system design
- Maintain and publish new releases for existing software products
- Use revision control and bug tracking systems.
- Work with test engineers to ensure that final products meet the original specifications.
- Participate in code review.
- Develop unit tests.
- Setup, configure, monitor, and maintain Server Side production and test environments on Amazon Web Services.
Requirements:
- BS Degree in Computer Science (or 4 years programming experience)
- Significant Server Side programming and/or maintenance experience.
- Scripting language experience.
- Knowledge of communications protocols and networking concepts.
- An understanding of software development methodologies
- Detail oriented, highly organized, able to multi-task, and good interpersonal skills
- Experience working with revision control systems, build systems, and working within a team environment
- Experience deploying publically-facing software products.
